With your feet on the air and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it, yeah
Your head will collapse but there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself
"Where is my mind?"
"Where is my mind?"
"Where is my mind?" Way out in the water
See it swimming?
O
chão revela as marcas de quem o calcou e nele viveu. É um dos lados de
um espaço. Penso mais nele porque tenho o hábito de olhar para o chão e
coleccionar sapatos. Funciona como um mapa que me indica as ruas de uma
cidade. Indica-me os sítios importantes que devo visitar. Mas, também me
indica a esquina onde encontrei o que mudou a minha vida. E tudo tem um
tempo de duração. Começa e acaba. A cabeça rasga o espaço que delimita o
chão com velocidade. Tento fazer-lhe corresponder um corpo. Forço o
corpo para ser veloz. E a escrever. Depois junto todos os escritos.
Selecciono, corto e volto a juntar. Monto um novo mapa com os meus
sapatos. Repito os caminhos. Repito muitas vezes. Sento-me e descanso.
Falo sobre o que me aconteceu. Anoto as diferenças e volto a trabalhar.
Durante
o processo criativo apelo à minha memória física, emocional e de
espaços para produzir sequências de movimentos que serão registadas em
imagens e que integrarão, no último dia da residência, numa performance
em formato vídeo-dança

"Repetition changes nothing in the object repeated, but does change something in the mind which contemplates it." Deluze
Conceived in partnership with Play Bleu, photograph and graphic designer, the film focus on a character in a
specific frame/period of time. The use of a classical photographic
frontal angle with two distances, accumulating the gestures of the
movement character observed behind of a translucent broken glass, filmed
from inside and outside space (broken glass). This frontier works as a
new screen for the viewer evoking also the political and social
association with the current world, where the repetition of the media
images echoes the fluidity of their distribution in contrast with the
static space and enclosure that the body is observed in their real
nature. In this created visual and sound environment, the film suggests
other images that correspond to the individual experience of each
viewer and the way they might look or don’t look to the resonances
trough the repetitions of body image on the created visual space as the
real body has no place of it's own when becoming an image (even repeated
like a prayer or poem..!?...). Direction Paulo Henrique & Play Bleu
